| Communication, connection and collaboration are a strength of this district. Stakeholders — families, community members, local businesses — are included and invited into partnership with the district. It is evident that the district focuses on this work and places a high priority in relationships. | Holyoke School District has several frameworks in place, including SCAP Priorities that have been adopted by the Board; the Holyoke Graduate Profile; SOAR/LEARNERs in elementary; and a Vision, Mission, and Values document that includes district goals. Though these are all related, it is not clear how they are aligned or which is the guiding decision-making document. Establishing one clear vision with associated goals would lead to efficiencies in action planning, roles and responsibilities definitions, continuous improvement, and board management. |
